New York 3 Day Trip Itinerary, NYC, US

I made a simple itinerary so you can spend three good days in New York City.

Day 1:

9:00 AM: Start your day at Central Park, one of the most famous and beloved public parks in the world. 

Take a walk or rent a bike to explore its many trails, gardens, lakes, and landmarks such as the Bethesda Fountain and the Central Park Zoo.

12:00 PM: After a morning of fresh air, head to the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET), one of the largest and most comprehensive art museums in the world. 

You can easily spend hours exploring its vast collections of art and artifacts from ancient times to the present day.

3:00 PM: From the MET, take a short walk to the nearby Frick Collection, a smaller but equally impressive museum housed in a beautiful mansion. 

The Frick features an exquisite collection of European paintings, sculptures, and decorative arts.

6:00 PM: For dinner, head to Hell's Kitchen, a vibrant neighborhood known for its diverse culinary offerings. 

Some popular choices include Totto Ramen for Japanese noodles, Danji for Korean small plates, and Rudy's Bar & Grill for classic American pub fare.

Day 2:

9:00 AM: Start your day at the iconic Empire State Building, where you can take a lift to the observation deck on the 86th floor for stunning views of the city. 

Be sure to get there early to avoid long lines.

12:00 PM: From the Empire State Building, walk or take a short cab ride to the nearby High Line, a unique park built on an abandoned elevated railway track. 

The High Line offers beautiful views of the city skyline and the Hudson River, as well as art installations, gardens, and food vendors.

3:00 PM: From the High Line, head to the trendy Meatpacking District, a former industrial area that has been transformed into a fashionable destination for shopping, dining, and nightlife. 

Check out the boutiques, galleries, and restaurants along Gansevoort Street and the surrounding blocks.

6:00 PM: For dinner, head to Little Italy, a historic neighborhood known for its Italian-American heritage and culinary traditions. 

Some popular choices include Parm for classic Italian-American dishes, Rubirosa for pizza, and Ferrara Bakery for pastries and desserts.

Day 3:

9:00 AM: Start your day at the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, two iconic landmarks that symbolize the history of immigration to the United States. 

Take a ferry from Battery Park to visit the Statue of Liberty and then continue on to Ellis Island to learn about the experiences of millions of immigrants who came to America through this historic port of entry.

12:00 PM: After a morning of history and culture, head to Chelsea Market, a bustling indoor food hall that offers a wide variety of gourmet foods and specialty products. 

You can sample everything from fresh seafood to artisanal chocolates and enjoy live music and other entertainment.

3:00 PM: From Chelsea Market, take a stroll through Greenwich Village, a charming and historic neighborhood known for its bohemian vibe, diverse community, and vibrant cultural scene. 

Check out the cafes, bars, shops, and street performers along Bleecker Street and the surrounding blocks.

6:00 PM: For dinner, head to Chinatown, a lively and colorful neighborhood known for its authentic Chinese cuisine and bustling street markets. 

Some popular choices include Xi'an Famous Foods for hand-pulled noodles, Nom Wah Tea Parlor for dim sum, and Joe's Shanghai for soup dumplings.
